‘Mixography: The Collectives’ Kicks Off New Party Series With Volume I – Dungeon Family (Mixtape)

Beginning this Thursday (July 30), a new Hip-Hop party series kicks off at Manhattan’s Le Poisson Rouge. The series, called Mixography, is launched by journalist, publicist and artist manager, Cali Green, and MC/DJ, and Blue Note Records affiliate Raydar Ellis. Raydar will live mix the events, while Cali hosts, with five confirmed parties upcoming.

With each party, Raydar (who is on faculty at Berklee College Of Music) will release a corresponding mixtape, with specially-designed artwork by photographer Deneka Peniston and designer Adrian Padarath. To set up the 7/30 event, Ellis has released Mixography: The Collectives, Vol. 1 – Dungeon Family. The 28-minute effort examines Atlanta, Georgia’s Dungeon Family, including Outkast, Goodie Mob, Run The Jewels, Organized Noize, Gnarls Barkley, Joe, Slimm Calhoun, and Janelle Monae, among others.
